The 3D add on in version 6.0 is great, but much more useful with the ability to export as a 3D file. Any chance this is coming?

Thank you for the suggestion. We are going to be improving our new 3D feature so we hope to have this ability and others available in a future update.

Looking forward to it! Would be a huge addition for me personally. My current method is to export the DXF, then make the changes in my 3D model, however, this leaves a lot of room for error when small changes are made, especially when things like pocket cutouts have to be manually entered on both sides. A 3D format would save tons of time and headaches.

A second on the 3D Step export, we are also new to this product/service and really like the excellent enclosure concept however is high risk without verification in a 3D CAD assembly program to check clearances internally.

Looks like people have asked for this in the past, but a way to specify holes types and X,Y coordinates would be awesome. I agree you can import holes via the DXF command, but you can't assign threads or countersinks to them. Having to manually specify hole x,y especially with non symmetric parts gets very tedious.

Thank you for the suggestion. This has been mentioned before so we hope one day to have this feature in a future version of our software.

Can you please send us a little more information:
1) Is this your first time downloading the software or are you updating?
2) What operating system are you downloading for?

Update to this:
The dynapdf.dll has to be in the in the same folder as the frontdesign.exe file. If installed it properly this happens automatically. There could have been a mistake/issue though. It will most likely solve the issue if you uninstall and then reinstalls the Front Panel Designer.

I have 4 screw holes, I need them spaced 95.02 mm by 42 mmapart. After three hours of futzing with this inane interface, I still cannot achieve that. How is it done?

Click on set origin in toolbar, then click on enter coordinates based on snap point and hoover over the hole you want to use as the reference and click the center. A blue circle with cross hair will be in the center of that circle. Now, right click the hole you want to be spaced apart and select move. Enter in your absolute X,Y and the hole will move to the location you specify. Repeat process until you have your alignments where you need them.

I imported a dxf outline for my panel, but it does not let me choose a cutting tool. As a result, some of the smaller outline features (2mm slits) are lost. Is there a way to change the outline cut tool diameter?

I have never used a website that was so difficult to order from. I have existing files I purchased previously and I cannot figure out how to buy them again! Shopping cart is MIA!

You order from the actual design files you are ready have. Open one of the files and click on ORDER in the menu bar. Add the files to your shopping cart and you enter in all the information asked for in the ordering tabs.
