Aluminum Front Panel  Why AA 5005?

Anodized Aluminum
Many of our customers want to know why we chose to manufacture front panels with AA 5005.
The answer is simple, to give your product the perfect look. The anodized aluminum AA 5005 is the best choice for this.
Let us explain why.

Why AA 5005?

AA 5005 is composed of Aluminum and Magnesium. This alloy has been specially developed for the requirements of modern architecture in facade cladding. The material is extremely durable, resistant to corrosion, and it has a bright, lasting finish.

Exactly these properties make it so fitting for the manufacture of front panels. Just like building facades, front panels not only protect the inside, but also fulfill decorative requirements. With AA 5005 we achieve optimum uniformity in surface appearance, a safe exterior, and we can manufacture a great looking panel for you.

Why anodized aluminum?

In a nutshell, AA 5005 is the best aluminum alloy to anodize. The chemical composition of it is designed to achieve a distinctive, uniform, metallic appearance when anodizing. Other alloys, like ones that contain Silicon, don't guarantee this quality after the anodization process.

The anodizing finish improves the structural and mechanical properties of the aluminum; it protects the metal by increasing its corrosion resistance and its surface hardness; and it also allows the aluminum to be dyed.
Front Panel Express offers a variety of different colors for your front panel.

The brilliance of the metallic surface sets AA 5005 apart from other anodizing quality materials and makes it the perfect choice for your product.

Unbelievable - the color of the wood panels our customer of the month, Brandon Dow, sent us are actually the natural colors of the panels. The wood he chose is Purpleheart, Padauk, and Walnut. He made this selection, because of the natural beauty, color and density of the material. Very nicely done!

The lettering was milled into the wood, in filled with wax, and then lacquered over. Each panel consists of a sheet of aluminum and a layer of wood glued together. They are the face plate of a pro-audio compressor, the MoFET76.
