  • Install error on Fedora 20

    Hi There!

I'm getting a package conflict error on Fedora 20.

    I'm on a amd 64 bit platform.

I downloaded the 64 bit rpm version.

    But yum gives this error:

install of frontdesign-4.3.1-2.x86_64 conflicts with file from package filesystem-3.2-19.fc20.x86_64

Please could I get a little help?

  • Adding text in other languages

I would like to add text to a panel in Greek. The program doesn't seem to have any fonts that will allow me to do this. Suggestions?

  • Category Tree is Corrupt

    System: Mac OS Mavericks

    FrontDesign 4.3.1

I am having a problem with Front Design 4.3.` on OSX mavericks. The Category Tree was corrupted when I was trying to make a macro from within FrontDesign.

Now I am unable to get past the startup screen; From Design shows a "Category Tree is corrupt" dialog. While there is an Okay button that is illuminated, the splash screen is frozen in front of it.

I have tried uninstalling by deleting the package contents and restart several times. And then installing 4.3.1 dmg. Unfortunately the condition is always the same.

Perhaps this means that I am missing a file in my simple uninstall approach.

I would appreciate some advice on how to delete all files associated with FrontDesign. So that I can do a clean install.

  • 3U 19" Rack enclosure help

Hello, I'm totally new to FPD, I've been working on a front panel for a 3U 19" rack enclosure which is actually pretty easy. However I'm pretty lost on how to design the rest of the enclosure. The manual helps a little, I think I can use either of the housing enclosures, right? I've downloaded the templates but I don't understand how to scale them to the size I need.

Anything to get me on the right path would be appreciated, I'm sure I'll have more questions. Thanks

  • placeholder

    My questions concerns macro objects.

I would like to create a temporary place holder or box around a macro object ( drill holes in this case) that represents the dimensions of the physical item that’s going to be bolted into the holes. I was thinking of using the cavity command (which I haven’t used yet) to do this. Of course I would want to delete this box before ordering. I guess I would use the ungroup command to do this since the box would be integral to the macro object.

My questions is, is their an easier way to create this placeholder or a more logical way to implement what I’m trying to do?.
