I was just wondering if you could give me a ballpark estimate for a profile 2 enclosure for a computer with the following dimensions:
17" wide x 18" deep x 6" high
There will be a cutout in the front panel for a DVD drive and the back panel will have cutouts similar to that on the back of a computer.
A rough estimate is all I need before deciding whether to go ahead and design it in FPD.

A rough estimate for an enclosure with those dimensions would be approximately $500.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. We would be happy to assist you with designing the enclosure.

Does anyone have a macro item for a standard IEC panel mount (male) and a DVI female panel mount? Someone must have used them before because they are so common!!

Below is a usable example of the standard IEC panel mount and the DVI female mount.
I also attached the sources from which they were attained

I'll forward this to our IT people. Can you give me more details about your operating system?
We are sorry for the inconvenience and let you know as soon as we have news.

I need a cross over program so I can run Front Panel Express designer or a program that will work like it. Hopefully one that is free.
Can Anyone point me in the right direction for something that would work on my Powerbook G4 running 10.4.11 ? Thanks

Does anyone know if there are library or macro objects available for EDAC connectors, mainly 56 and 90?

Here is a usable example of the 56 and 90 pin connectors

Sorry for the tardy reply, I thought if I checked "watch thread" that I would get an email when a reply was posted. Anyway, thanks for the examples.
I have a question, what are the horizontal cutouts through the middle of each connector? It looks like they may be cutouts for the connector alignment pins if you were to mount them behind the panel, but they won't work that way. Just curious.

The 56 and 90 pin EDAC connector dimensions were followed by a standarded set of dimensions from the EDAC website. Attached is the link for the 56 & 90 pin connector dimensions on page 91.

Does any one have macro objects for duplex electrical outlets? I'm building a power conditioner and would like to attach the outlets directly to the front pannel (with three screws each).
Thanks in advance,

Which one do you need, square or oval?
Posted By: Diane Haensel on Jun 28, 2009 10:34PMReply
I need the oval.
Do you also know the position of the holes normally used to mount the outlet to the elctrical box, relative to the hole normally used to attache the cover-plate?

An example of an fpd design of the oval outlet cutouts.

Hi, I plan to mount a square outlet to a panel. Do you have a .fpd and could you explain if this includes a why to mount a single gang electrical box to the rear of the panel? Thanks! -O

I don't have a fpd file for the square outlet handy but the dimensions are in the post above.
You would need to add the mounting holes for the single gang electrical box to your panel (dimensions are shown here.)
Let me know if you need any assistance with positioning the cutouts and mounting holes.
