I am laying out a panel and have chosen to use an 8-32 screw for mounting a device to it. However, there are only 8-24 and 8-36 options available in the software.
Is this a bug? My charts show no 8-24 and McMaster-Carr does not supply that thread size. If i select 8-24 threads will I end up with 8-32?
Thanks in advance,

It's a bug, we just found out yesterday. However, it is just a typo in the combo box. The pitch of .0313" is correct for a UNC 8-32.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and will have it fixed with the next update.
Thank you for pointing this out.

After running Front Panel Designer 4.0 installation, I find that anytime I try to modify a panel created in 3.5 version the 4.0 application crashes.
This is a repeatable crash that happens everytime I try making changes. I have tried this on another PC and get the same problem.
I am running Windows 7, 64 bit on an HP Pavilion computer.
Here is the application crash information as reported by Windows:

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your crash report.
We are planning to release version 4.01 soon (within May). It will include bug fixes reported from different operating systems.
Thanks again and let us know if you need help with old 3.5 files. We can save them in 4.0 for you so that you can work with them.

I checked with out software developer regarding the 4.0 crash. They need the 3.5 file that caused the problem for further testing.
Can you please send it to me (firstname.lastname@example.org)?

I had some custom connectors I had made as templates that are no longer available. I understand the shift to seperate the included connector and user connectors but I do not see my custom connector anymore.

You can import macro object of older FPD versions by right clicking on the 'User' folder in the macro object window.
They are located in your installation folder of version 3.5 and have the extension fdm.

Just downloaded 4.0
I noticed that:
On the main program The icon for inserting a curved slot has a help window bubble that pops up that says "Inserdt curved slot"
I had one place where the error message popped up in German. I could not replicate this error so I can give no other info.

I don't directly order my front panels. When I installed the 4.0 version I no longer see a drop down list for shippers. Do I have to enter in some information to see this list? I use this to estimate what I need to do to get my pannels on time.
