I've noticed that reference points are not exported any more since version 4.5 update...
Is it possible to set it up somehow?

Did I miss a checkbox somehwere in the settings menu?

Sorry, it's not possible with the current version. However, we will reactivate it in our next bug-fix release.

Thank you very much!
Do you have information about around when is the next version will be available?
Posted By: Gábor on Mar 01, 2016 04:25PMReply
Most likely next week. There are still some issues with the Mac version.

I want to place text on a panel that is in front of eliminated plexi. The text in the panel should therefore be completely milled, not just engraved. How do I set this in the front panel designer?
Posted By: Stijn on Feb 27, 2016 02:17PM Category: Front Panel Designer
There is no option in Front Panel Designer for text all the way milled through the panel.
However, one alternative is using the import of a dxf file representing the test and use the "Free Contour" tool in Front Panel Designer. The other option is to design the engraving as needed with the "Text" tool and leave us a note to mill the letters through. This will result into a small additional charge for the modification.

After upgrading to the latest version, FPD won't load now. When I try to re-install I get an error message that it can't open the .exe file.

What operating system are you using? Can you please provide a screenshot of the error message?
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your feedback.

Problem solved. A re-boot cured the problem. I believe there was something interfering with program. I don't know what though.

Just updated to 4.50, on a mac. The mouse scrolling is working opposite of the global settings. The graphics also seem a lot worse than they used to be - I find it nearly impossible to consistently line up objects using the mouse. Hope there wil an update to address this soon!

We are aware of mouse scrolling problems and working on it.
We implemented anti-aliasing for minimizing the distortion artifacts. You can turn it off in Settings->Interface
We apologize for the inconvenience and will keep you posted on the bug fix update.

Actually, the Mac OS X version has numerous problems, including random image jumping, reference point highlighting which doesn't line up with the object reference points. This version has become unusable. Can you provide a link to a slightly older version?

I just updated to version 4.5 and all my user macros have disappeared. How can I get them back. It was a large library and I would rather not have to design them all again.
Posted By: Greg on Feb 10, 2016 08:09AM Category: Front Panel Designer
You should still have your library file, which is named UserMacros.fml
Are you using Mac? It looks like the path has changed from
This is the Windows path:
You can import a macro file into FPD with Edit->Settings ->Interface->Macro files... Or you move the fml file into above mentioned path.
Please let me know if it worked. If not I need to know what OS you are using. I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your feedback.

I found the macro.fml file BUT any attempt to attach it to Front designer gets this rejection....Macro object database error macro objects are not available(26:SQLITE_NOTADB: file is encrypted or is not a data base
This is the same message that I get when I launch front Designer

I just emailed you the previous version FPD4.4. Please use this until we have the bug fixed.
I apologize for the trouble and thank you for your patience.

version 4.4 gave me the same message. I located the macro data base file and tried to import it with no luck. I copied a macro from another .fpd file and pasted it into a new design successfully but could not save it into the user macro list.
