I would like a 1.5mm radius on my front panel top and bottom, but not the sides. Is it possible to select individual edges? In the picture you can see in green the way I want it.

You can't select individual edges but we can machine to your specifications based on your notes.
Easiest way would be requesting a quote through the ordering tool in Front Panel Designer and attach your drawing to the shopping cart. This way we can add the additional programming fee (usually around $20) and confirm your special request.
Or just call our customer service at 1-800-373-9060 and they will walk you through.

I would like to make M3 holes on the side for 6mm thickness plate.
Is it possible?

Yes, this is possible. Please have a look here under 'machined edges"'

I've got a relevant question. I'm wanting to do this on multiples of the same part and have read the "machined edges" section, which states to create a new file with the dimensions of the side you wish to machine, and choose "customer supplied material".
What occurs is a handling fee is added to each instance, which seems to be as high as the material was to begin with. This seems to add up to quite a substantial figure (just to add two holes to an edge). Am I doing something wrong, or is that just the way it is?

The handling fee is for clamping and finding the corner of your part. Each edge has to be setup individually to be accurate.
In your case the setup of the part takes actually longer than the machining time, which is reflected in pricing.
I hope this helps to understand the pricing.

Looking to configure and order several of your enclosures - Type 1 or 2 Housing profile enclosures.
My needs include a heat sink on each side of enclosure. I have already configured case using FPE tool, increasing width to accomodate my own heat sink - which runs 10 inches x 3in high.
My question --
In lieu of standard side panels --- Do you offer heat sink side panels of any type.

Hi, is there a way to import a pdf or dwg file (or other vector format) into Front Panel Designer? Thanks!

You can import dxf or svg files with the "free contour" tool. You can also import plt files for complex engravings with the "HPGL engraving" tool.
We have a couple of tutorials on YouTube.

Are you ever going to have a 3d import for your program. Most people that are designing panels or enclosures are designing with Solidworks or some other 3d software. Do you plan to add 3d import to your software?

Upgraded to v4.50 on a Mac. Now manually setting the origin coordinates does not work. Also, snapping origin to an object reference point no longer works. Downgraded to v4.42 to restore usability.

Thank you for your feedback. The Mac version is still giving us some issues and we are currently working on the bug fix release.
We are sorry you had to downgrade. Please give it another shot when the release v4.51 next week.
