I'm building an enclosure using the side profile 1 assemblies. I need a bit more information so I can determine the height of my circuit board within the enclosure. What are the dimensions C, D, E, and F in the drawing below? I cannot find this information in the enclosure manual. Thank you.

The dimension you are looking for are listed below
C = 4mm
D = 1.5mm
E = 1.5mm
F = 7mm

Thanks! That's exactly what I needed to know.

Perfect! I was looking for this info as well. Might help to update the enclosure manual.

I'm building a project for which I will use two HiFi 2000 enclosures.
The GX388 and the GX283.
Do you have any templates for the front and rear panels please?

Unfortunately we do not have templates for the HiFi 2000 enclosures. If you could possibly provide a DXF or DWG we could assist you in designing the enclosure.

Can you provide me the files for the GX283 front panel?

Thank you for contacting us regarding these files. Oddly enough, Andy Michael ended up being a customer from the UK, and the files submitted for ordering and manufacturing went to our sister company in Berlin.
I went ahead and E-mailed Andy to determine whether or not he will release the files for your use. Please stand by.

Hello again Gary,
Andy has given us permission to distribute the files. I am attempting to obtain them from him via e-mail. If I cannot, we will need to wait for our sister company in Berlin to forward along the files.
Many thanks for your continued patience.

I am receiving the following error when trying to create a new Macro object.
Can you provide any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong?

I would like to check your fpd file. Can you please email it to us (email@example.com) and let me know which objects you were trying to group as a macro?

So I went to use FPD this morning and I can not use the copy or cut command without an access violation message popping up in German.
I have rebooted, removed, rebooted again, reinstalled, and I still can not get the FPD program to behave.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I am sorry for the inconvenience you have encountered with FPD.
Our IT people are already informed and I will let you know as soon as I hear back.
Could you please give me details about your operating system and the access violation (Zugriffsverletzung)?
Again, we apologize for this problem.

I have a Mac, so I am running FPD in a Windows XP virtual machine using VMWare Fusion. The OS is up to date.
Sometimes I get the Zugriffsverletzung access violation and sometimes I get the Ausgewahlter error message that loosely translates to "you selected the wrong printer".
Having gone back into the program on this PC I have realized that I can not place a new object either, I can select the tool but when i click to place nothing happens. Previously I was just trying to modify an existing drawing and hadn't noticed.

It has something to do with the printer. When you copy something, you automatically generate a wmf file on the clipboard. This wmf file uses some printer settings. Since you probably don't have a printer installed on your virtual machine, it won't let you copy.
The next version of Front Panel Designer will have a better solution for that. In the meantime we suggest to install just any standard printer on your system. Copy and paste should work then.
Thank you for pointing that out. And again, we are sorry for the inconvenience.

I changed my default printer to a different unit and the copy paste functionality has returned.

My copy of the software installed in what looks to be German. I did select English (US) during the install. Any suggestions on how to correct this?

We apologize for this inconvenience. A customer of our sister company in Europe experienced just recently the same problem. Here is what was suggested in their forum.
I am sorry, that you have this problem. Is it possible, that you launched the FPD the first from the setup as another user? If you start it the first time as a new user it doesn't find the language settings and falls back to the standard language (which is German). I admit, that this is not a very good behavior and will be changed in the next version.
For now you have to change the language for every user manually. So please to the following steps:
* Start the FPD
* Press Ctrl+E
* Click on "Global"
* There you have a drop down box "Sprache" where you could choose your language.
Please let me know if it worked.
Please let me know if you have any problems to navigate through FPD to find the language setup.

This was exactly the solution I needed. I had logged in as administrator to install the program.
