A rabbit cut around the outside edge of panel
I am new to your tool and cannot figure out how to add a rabbit cut around the outside edge of the panel. This is needed to allow the front panel to slide into a slot on the rack assembly. The rabbit is about 1.27mm deep and 1.27mm wide.

Thank you for contacting us regarding your needs in Front Panel Designer.
In order to specify a rabbet around the perimeter of your panel, I would suggest using the "Insert Cavity" tool. You would want to select the shape "Rectangle In Rectangle", then enter the outside dimensions to be 1mm larger in each direction than the size of your panel. For the inside dimensions, you would want to specify your panel dimensions less 2.54mm in each direction for the recess. The depth would be 1.27mm as you mentioned.
Once you have created this object, you can center it on your panel to create the rabbet you desire. Do not be alarmed that the cavity overlaps the edges of the panel, this will be necessary for proper machining.
If you have any difficulties creating or positioning this object, feel free to contact us by e-mail or by phone for more assistance.
